Re: Replacement of the City of Nome Emergency Siren System

 

The City of Nome will be replacing the City’s emergency siren system from February 28th through March 4th, 2024. During this time, technicians will occasionally need to test the siren to ensure its functionality in the case of an emergency. The City of Nome will make every effort to ensure that such tests occur during regular daytime working hours. However, in the interest of expediency, some deviation may occur.

The City of Nome apologizes in advance for the repetitive “alerts’ you may hear during this time. Installation will be made as quickly as reasonably possible and tests will be kept to the minimum reasonably possible. Thank you for your patience as we fix this vital piece of communication equipment for our community.
